KYOSHI MATT CHARNLEY - HEAD INSTUCTOR - 6TH DAN BLACK BELT - ROKUDAN

Hoshiki Kiritsu Martial Arts was developed by Kyoshi Matt Charnley (6th Degree Black Belt). Kyoshi Matt has been training since 1983 and teaching since 1991. Over the last 35 years Kyoshi Matt has dedicated his life to the study of Martial Arts and has trained intensively to enable him to develop a strong, practical and comprehensive Martial Art. This is evident in his recent attainment of a Diploma in Sports Coaching & Development - specialising in Martial Arts.

Kyoshi Matt was inducted into the Australasian Martial Arts Hall of Fame (AMAHOF) in 2018.

In June 2018 he was awarded a 5th Dan World Ranking and Gold Card Holder of the World Kumite Organisation (WKO).

Renshi Maree (4th Degree Black Belt) has been training since 1992 and teaching since 1996. Her focus over the last 25 years has been to develop a practical and comprehensive Self Defence Course for Women. Renshi Maree specialises in teaching Self Defence applications that can be utilised by anyone. Her extensive experience includes:

Renshi Jules (4th Degree Black Belt) has been training since 1993 and teaching since 1998. Renshi Jules' training in other Martial Arts has enabled him to become a well rounded Martial Artist. Sensei Jules specialises in teaching close combat and Kata application. His experience includes:

Sensei Glenn (3rd Degree Black Belt) has been training since 1985 and teaching since 1990. He has assisted Kyoshi Matt with the development of Hoshiki Kiritsu and his extensive training in kickboxing as both a fighter and a trainer enabled him to contribute a strong combat component to our curriculum. Sensei Glenn specialises in training students for endurance gradings and kickboxing. His experience includes:

Dai Sempai Geoff (2nd Degree Black Belt) commenced his martial arts training initially in Judo throughout primary school and then as a young adult with Zen Do Kai in 1987, training until 1999 and achieving the rank of 1st Dan. He then began training with us in 2013 and has been teaching Martial Arts & Kickboxing since 2016.
